Flaws begone...Part I

The fact that women are never satisfied with the features they've got already became an axiom. Some resort to plastic surgery, some to corrective makeup.
Find out how can you define your features and improve areas that you feel are flaws with the help of makeup.

How to make big, prominent eyes appear smaller

Big, prominent eyes tend to dominate the facial features; the best way to draw attention away from them is using dark eye shadows and eyeliner around the eyes.
For a daytime makeup look, use a neutral eye shadow that's two tones darker then your skin tone apply it on the entire mobile lid, slightly past the crease and blend. Line the lash line with a black or dark brown eyeliner and smudge carefully, so the line is not that harsh. Repeat on the lower lid and waterline.
Finish the look with volumizing mascara.
Try to avoid using mascaras that lengthen lashes.

For more dramatic makeup looks, smokey eyes are perfect for your eye shape. Opt for matte eye shadows instead of shimmery, glittery ones on the mobile lid matte ones will help minimize the lids and make eyes appear smaller and deep set.
Use lighter shimmery shadows as highlights but sparingly - on the brow bone, right under the eyebrows.

How to make small eyes bigger and brighter

The main idea would be to use bright colors around the eyes and never use dark eyeliner on the bottom lid, as this make them look smaller.
Many makeup artists use white or beige eyeliner on the waterline this is a must-have in your makeup kit if you're blessed with smaller eyes or great to open up the eyes when creating a smokey eye makeup with darker colors!

You can still use eyeliner on the entire top lash line and extend the line slightly at the corners of the eye.
Neutral eye shadows are your best friend; keep it simple, use only two shades at a time with just a hint of black for lining. This way, you'll make them look larger but still accentuate their shape.

Eyelashes are great for opening eyes and make them stand out more.
Curl lashes first, then apply mascara, concentrating in the middle and outer corners using upward strokes.
Also, pay attention to your eyebrows if you have them thick and close together they will only make your eyes look smaller and closer. Try to tweeze them a little further out than you might normally, about an eye length if you can.
