Makeup and the Gym

Women want to look at their best even while working out at the gym, however the idea of wearing makeup while working out always been controversial. There are several reasons why women go to the gym with or without makeup on.

Makeup mixed with sweat attracts bacteria that clog pores and cause blemishes, blackheads and acne - but these problems ensue when the wrong type of makeup is used at the gym.

Should We Wear Makeup while Working Out at the Gym
If you don't want to go 'bare face' to the gym, here are some helpful tips to adopt the right routine to look good and feel confident while working out.

Avoid your regular foundation and opt for tinted moisturizer or a self tanner. These will let your skin breathe, will give you a wash of color and you dont have to worry about them running during your spinning class.

Pure mineral makeup is another trick, because it won't clog your pores, it's oil-free, talc-free and waterproof, the best partner during a workout session.

Waterproof mascara is a must-have if you want to avoid smudging and don't want to end up with embarrassing panda eyes at the end of your class. Also liquid or gel formulas are more gym-friendly than solid ones.

Wearing lipstick during workout could be a sign that you're trying too hard - use rather a lip stain to accentuate your lips shape and look natural.

Cleansing your face thoroughly after workout is vital rinse with water to remove sweat and all traces of makeup to constrict the dilated capillaries that have expanded during exercise and follow by your regular moisturizer.
