Naomi Campbell's Fashion for Relief event in Mumbai

Supermodel, Naomi Campbell, and the Indian hotelier, Vikram Chatwal, joined forces to stage a major charity event in Mumbai to celebrate the opening of Lakme Fashion Week.

The gala fashion show, was held on March 28th to raise funds for Citizens For Justice and Peace (CJP) and the ongoing relief programs in the wake of the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks, providing much needed emergency medical care and ambulances.

Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Diane von Furstenberg, Carolina Herrera , Versace and Zac Posen, along with Rohit Bal, Ritu Kumar and Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

The designs were available to buy via a silent auction, and online on eBay with proceeds being used directly to support CJP’s initiatives, in tribute to the 26/11 victims

Naomi Campbell launched Fashion for Relief in 2005 to galvanize the fashion community to raise funds in times and places of need. Events have subsequently been held in New York and London. Ms Campbell wanted the event to send a message of solidarity and hope to the citizens of Mumbai.
