Pigmentation is of particular concern for many women. Lines, bagging and sagging they can deal with, but pigmentation is deemed unsightly. These blokes (above) love it. The sun and contraceptive pill are known triggers, however even for those of you whom have shied away from the outdoors and intimacy, pigmentation can still appear; and appear it will. Cosmetic companies to the rescue - would you expect anything less?
Highly regarded make-up company Shu Uemura has released a new whitening compact foundation - White Recovery EX - developed using their signature whitening technology. This foundation combines Prune Extract and phyto-ingredient Sakura Leaf Extract with new technologies for “amplified brightening and a visibly translucent, glowing complexion”.
White Recovery EX is more than just a temporary solution. Given pigmentation by its very nature is difficult to conceal effectively it's comforting to know this foundation will be working two-fold to offer lasting results.
Dermalogica has also released a whitening system - Chromawhite TRx. Launched this week as “the industry’s first synergistic whitening system” its objective is to target current pigmentation while protecting against its formation, thereby encouraging a brighter, clearer and more even-toned complexion.
First released in Asia where skin whitening is big business and competition is fierce - the Chromawhite TRx system - composed of seven products that work in sequence to offer a complete and sophisticated treatment - names include the Tri-Active Cleanse, Powerfoliant, Extreme C and Pure Light SPF 20 – is touted as being the most effective means to treat pigmentation and prevent it rearing it’s ugly head at all. You can only try it to see if it works for you, but the face wash ast least is lovely to use.
